When this error occur:
There may be more den one JRE you have installed either from different application like java, oracle... etc.
you need to remove those extra JRE paths from the "path" environment variable.

How to resolve this error:
check your "path" environment variable... if der is more den one JRE , then please remove extra JRE....
Leave der only one JRE path ....

Using Logging in Javascript

It's very usefull to have logging statement in your code .
console.log(); statement is very handy to log information in javascript .
sample code

what you need to do is
1. just include the jquery file in your code

How to see the logged statement:
to check javascript logs , I uses Firebug extension in Mozilla.

Show open workspace in eclipse title bar

following is the detail how to do this:

In Eclipse, I can switch worskpaces by going to File > Switch Workspace ... but it doesn't give any indication of which workspace I have open at the time.... until now!

The -showLocation parameter causes Eclipse to show the current workspace name in the title bar of the application window (as well as the perspective name for the open perspective).

To add this to your Eclipse configuration (in Windows) is very easy:
Just right-click the shortcut you use to open Eclipse, and select 'properties'.
Then, add "-showLocation" (without the quotes) to the end of the "Target" line.

My shortcut target was: C:\ECLIPSE35\eclipse\eclipse.exe 3.5
Now it looks like this: C:\ECLIPSE35\eclipse\eclipse.exe 3.5 -showLocation

pdf byte serving in coldfusion

Hi,

problem:
i have some pdf files outside the webroot and i have to serve those files to user as a fast web view.
Note: fast web view is a feature of IIS not coldfusion application server.

currently how i m doing this made a virtual directory to those pdf files folder and i redirect the user to the attachment
so the file serve by IIS itself.

however using this approach user can get the file if he knows the attachment file name. so this is a security concern.

looking for solution for this security concern or any alternate solution.

cfdump append value in file

Today i found a very useful feature of cfdump , one of my favourite tag in coldfusion .
when you use the output="file path" attribute, cfdump writes the var attribute value to the file.
it is very useful when we are debugging an application.
specially when we want to dump an variable/object whose value changed in a loop.
it appends the value if file already exists.

Web service not working in Coldfusion 8

Hi,
I am using the following code for creating the web service.this code was perfectly working in Coldfusion 7,however not working in Coldfusion 8.

ColdFusion 8 Certified.....

I just wanted to share good news with you all that I have completed my ColdFusion 8 Certification and now I’m an Adobe Certified Expert for ColdFusion 8.

After all the hard work and preparation now I’m an ACE for ColdFusion 8.

the tough part for me of this exam was application.cfc based questions and exception handling.

however i completed this exam in 35 mins. It took me around 2 months for learning new tags and new features of Coldfusion 8.

In Coldfusion 9 we got the "local" scope as any other scope like variables,application.

To declare a function-local scope variable either specify the Local scope name when assigning the variable, or use the var keyword.
Also, you can now use the var keyword anywhere in a function definition, not just at the top.
